POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the writing and execution of the Catalyst Award submission. This 35-page narrative would highlight the work of the Medtronic Women’s Network and the significant progress Medtronic has made advancing women. The writer should have experience in award submission writing, HR writing, storytelling and interacting with senior leaders. The individual would be responsible to identify key content based on award criteria and expertly craft narrative framework to highlight key proof points thru interviews, analyzing and mining existing communication sources and creating original content. The individual should have extensive experience working with short deadlines and multiple stakeholders. Familiarity with Medtronic’s review process and culture and diversity/inclusion is a significant plus.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Highlights:

  • We were budgeting for 25 hours week/14 weeks. Nomination is due May 24th 2019.
  • We want someone with experience writing for award submissions if possible , great story teller and familiar with review process at Medtronic if possible.
  • Should have a degree in journalism, or English and at least 7 years experience.

Oversees the merged responsibility of both internal and external communications planning and execution in a single role or group. Directly manages communications activities that promote, enhance, and protect the organization’s reputation to both internal and external audiences.

Handles the creation and implementation of multiple forms of internal strategic communication activities, programs and content guided by the Medtronic Mission and overall business strategy. Oversees and executes the writing, editing and approval of key documents and reports, promotional materials, press releases, interviews, FAQs and other external and internal communications vehicles as defined. Supports senior leadership in communicating to external and internal audiences.
