Position Description
Our client in west suburban Minneapolis is seeking contract-to-hire technical writing candidates with 1-5 years of experience to join their technical publications group. The focus of their projects is developing end-user documentation for their commercial equipment division. This position reports to the engineering manager.
Qualifications
Candidates should have some experience with hardware product lines and hardware documentation, and be familiar in an engineering-focused environment, where such engineering documentation as ECOs, bills of materials, assembly drawings, parts lists, etc. are generated. Experience with Adobe FrameMaker is an essential requirement. It is a “plus” if candidates have familiarity with importing/manipulating CAD files for graphical use, and experience with both Photoshop and Illustrator.
