Location: St. Paul, MN or Chippewa Fall, WI

Seeking a Senior Technical Communication Specialist with excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and problem solving skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in the medical device industry managing multiple concurrent labeling projects, in the creation of Instructions For Use (IFU) using Adobe InDesign.

Responsibilities:
  • Interact with customers and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses
  • Prepare lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation
  • Work with engineering, technical support and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features
  • Instruct participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions and
  • Follow-up to determine applicability of course material
Required Qualifications:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in CS or a related field and a minimum of four (4) years of experience working in a related field. Experience with high-level programming languages such as C, C++, or Fortran in a parallel (MPI) computing environment and previous teaching experience in a technical environment are required. Instructional design experience required. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills, have previous experience with a learning Management System (LMS), strong Linux experience, and a solid understanding of technology trends and solutions. In addition, the successful candidate will have solid interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well as part of a team. A customer service focus, excellent follow-up and attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to multi-task are also critical for success. Travel required to customer sites and prospective customers as needed, 20-25% of time.
