POSITION DESCRIPTION

The HR Services Change & HR Communications Contingent will provide change management and communication support for projects related to adoption efforts for our on-demand HR resources including our global HR Portal, Virtual Assistant, and Live Chat, and preparing strategic communications to support the next phase of our operating model transformation.

This role is required to analyze stakeholder needs and implement strategic communications and change tactics that support and promote adoption of our HR tools. This includes creating a structured methodology to lead change management efforts, support communication efforts, identify training needs, and identify additional types of support for stakeholders within our COE.

This role requires innovation, influence, change leadership, collaboration across all levels of the organization. This role requires an ability to support both tactical and strategic projects which impact employees, managers, the HR Community, and HR Services & Employee Relations organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Communications

  • Understand project stakeholder communication needs.
  • Understand the Medtronic personas who are adopting our resources; develop key messages relevant to them.
  • Develop a strategic and tactical communication plan to promote awareness and adoption of our tools, resources, and next phase of our transformation journey.
  • Use our communication technology – Eloqua – to understand the success and impact of our communication tactics.

Change Management

  • Identify and support a change management plans specific to each initiative and specific for the employee audiences.
  • Identify and manage change impacts by creating plans to support end users through the change.
  • Engage sponsors and key stakeholders on key project milestones, decisions, and deliverables.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of efforts and develop templates and process standards that embody best practices. Create feedback mechanisms for continual process and deliverables improvement.
  • Serve as a liaison across multiple stakeholders and many leadership levels in the organization.

BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree.
  • 3+ years of work experience within an HR function or Communications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Medtronic HR experience and process knowledge desired.
  • Competent in working on cross-functional projects.
  • Research and data analysis experience.
  • Competent in Project Management.
  • Ability to co-manage a team of individuals and drive a project to successful completion.
  • Highly organized, maintains rigor of process, and holds task owners accountable.
  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.).
  • Competent in written and oral communication. Competent making presentations, giving status.
