POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Write technical materials, such as operating and installation instructions. Integrate relevant information into well written text instructions, functional descriptions, and operation procedures with illustrating graphics. Maintain and communicate status for all active projects. Write effectively with translations in mind. Responsible for creating technical illustrations when needed to accompany written text for technical documentation. Collaborate successfully with key stakeholders within the company on projects. Ability to read and understand engineering change order (ECO) documents. Use engineering change order to understand a change to an existing machine and document relevant changes within the customer facing parts list and/or operator manual. Updates EzParts online parts lookup system, electronic parts database/parts list, which is used by the entire company and dealer network.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma-Minimum
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 1-3+ years of technical writing and illustration, on-the-job experience
- 1-3+ years of technical illustrating experience
- Basic computer skills including MS Office tools and Adobe software including InDesign
- Strong communication & teamwork skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong aptitude of mechanical engineering, reading prints, ECOs, etc.
- Ability to use Pro/Engineer
- Capability to learn new software
- Strong knowledge of illustration software Canvas and IsoDraw.
