Manufacturing Engineer (J1112)

Description: Provides daily support of products, processes, materials and equipment in order to achieve production goals (i.e., quality, delivery, cost, productivity and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Works cooperatively with R&D, Process Development, Quality, Production, Regulatory, Equipment Engineer, Supply Chain, and Marketing to ensure project success.
2. Successfully contributes to both new product development teams and product support, typically including the following activities: process capability studies, process development, Six Sigma and Value Improvement projects, report preparation and process/test documentation.
3. Designs and coordinates standard engineering tests and experiments.
4. Designs, procures and fabricates equipment tooling and fixtures.
5. Performs troubleshooting on new and existing products/process problems as related to design, material or processes.
6. Summarizes, analyzes and draws conclusions from test results.
7. Completes and manages Capital Equipment Request Authorizations (CERA's)
8. Prepares standard reports/documents to communicate results to the technical community.
9. May lead cross-functional project teams.
10. Identifies, implements, and manages equipment requirements to support production goals.
11. Trains and/or provides work direction to operators/technicians.

Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering/Technical field; 2+ years of experience (0-2 years with MS).


Technical Writer: Contract (J1113)

Work Location: Eagan, MN

Duration: TBD

Typical projects:

- Updating operator's manuals for various scanner products, which includes software and hardware installation instructions for field engineers (engineers and support) (Adobe FrameMaker)
- Updating release notes for product releases for scanners and utilities software (MS Word)
- Updating online help for scanner products and software (MadCap Flare)
- Updating illustrations and text for product materials such as posters, pull-out cards (on scanners), and product lists (Adobe Illustrator and InDesign)
- Creating and editing instructional videos using video equipment and video editing software (video camera, Adobe Premier Pro and/or Elements, Camtasia Studio)
- Updating existing online help topics and writing new topics for educational software. (RoboHelp)
- Ability to get information from functional specifications documents (FSD)

High Level Skills:

- Experience in software development and documentation
- Experience in hardware documentation helpful (maintenance, parts lists, installation)
- Experience with online help and with HTML/XML
- Ability to work with software and hardware graphics
- Understanding of server environments

Technical Writer: Contract (J1114)

Location: Minnetonka, MN

Duration: 6 months

Description: JPG is seeking clinical writing candidates for an early 2012 assignment at a client site in the Twin Cities.  Basic background requirements include:  2-4 years minimum years experience in clinical writing (prefer writing content for an educational or training audience), FrameMaker authoring tool experience, medical device company background required.

 

 

e-Learning Consultant : Contract (J1115)

Location: Minnetonka, MN

Duration: 6 months

Description: JPG is seeking candidates for an e-learning development project for an early 2012 assignment at a client site in the Twin Cities.   Basic requirements include: 2-4 years minimum of e-learning development, working experience with Java, XML, or similar e-learning development tools. 

 

Electronic Technician I (J1118)

Location: Arden Hills, MN

Duration: 12 Months

Description: Will work with Technicians, Engineers and Scientist to help develop new batteries and load and monitor various configurations of batteries in the Battery Life Test (BLT) Lab area. In addition, this tech must be able to accomplish preventive maintenance and calibration duties on the test systems and life test ovens in the BLT area. Some weekend or after hours work may be required.

Two year electronic tech certificate with two years of work experience preferred. Contract duration is 12 months.
